Double Dutch is a game in which two long jump ropes turning in opposite directions are jumped by one or more players simultaneously. The Jump Rope game requires Precision, Concentration and for the rope turners to work in complete Harmony. While that is taking place, a third (and sometimes a fourth ) individual is standing and watching the movement of the ropes, watching and waiting. In many cases that individual, while waiting starts to move their body back & forth finding the rhythm of the ropes and preparing to “go in” and start jumping.
There are times when life can feel that way. You think you know what you want to do, you’re just waiting & waiting & waiting for the “right time” to jump in and do it.
Waiting is costly and spoiler alert the time to do it rarely feels “just right”
Everything worth doing (especially if it is outside of your Comfort Zone) will have to be done by Faith! It’s difficult to do that if you are expecting someone to validate you at every turn and hold your hand.
You have to decide ‘Are my dreams big enough for me to move forward and jump in with both feet? Do I trust myself enough to love myself without judgement? Will I allow the process of Growing, Developing & using my Faith to guide & direct me’?
It seems so simple and in fact it is. It’s just not always easy. Current conditions in ones life may be overshadowing the dreams you once had. I invite you to something for yourself today that you have been putting off and it won’t cost you a dime! Find a quiet place and for 10 minutes (or more if you like) dream again. Allow your mind to take you to your deepest desire. Visualize what you want. Do it everyday. You’ll soon discover you are a Double-Dutch champion!
Enjoy the Journey
